Clearly, I am a DC fan. Comics, TV shows, cartoons, films, etc. Clearly. It is the comic book universe I identify with.

But I do enjoy a lot of the products of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. And I’ve found my favorite one, Marvel-wise, and it joins my top picks superhero-genre-wise.

“Black Panther” (2018) did not disappoint. I’ve been wanting to see it since the first trailer I watched. (Not even because of the upcoming “Infinity War” or what not. It just looked awesome.)

And, man, would I like to watch it again.

No details for now. No analysis yet. It’s just… it’s as imaginative, intellectual, progressive, political, entertaining, meaningful and cohesive a film as I could ask.

(Plus, I may have fallen in love with the Wakandan people and developed a crush on their rightful king.)

Disclaimer: I have not read a single “Black Panther” comic book in my life, so I appreciate the mythos for however it was presented in the movie.
