In a weird way, I’m kind of glad the DCEU has gotten so much shit because it means that, going forward, the people joining who don’t just need the work will be people who really want to be there and believe in the films They’re doing and/or love the characters They’re playing.

Just like all other films, superhero films have to make money, yes. But they don’t have to steer too far away from the source material or to pander to as many populations as possible to do it.
